Jo, I wish I knew what was going on with Blogger. I'm reading the support forums and some people are saying that it now works using Chrome but not Firefox or Internet Explorer.

Apparently they are still tweaking things over there.

Since you don't have many posts, you might want to look at moving your blog sooner rather than later. Let me know if you need information on how to do this and i'll be happy to help.

Good for you on backing up!

One thing you might consider for future posting is to write the post in a separate program -- a word processor or even your email program -- then copy and paste it to Blogger when you are finished. That way if it eats the post you can at least try to re-post it,

This is great information. Thank you! I will start doing this right away, even if I do only have a few posts on my blog.
You wouldn't happen to know what is going on with blogger at the moment wou8ld you I seem to be stuck in a loop that keeps sending me to a sign in page every time I try to post or to post a comment. Blogger has put no new info about this out that I can find since the 24th of may when they pretty much just said we are aware of this and working to fix it...you think they could give us an up date.

Thank you so very much for the info. I did lose a posting from the blogger trouble - it was never reposted nor can I even find it through Google Buzz. It's gone forever. However, I will now back up at least once a week!!!

Another way to back up your current postings is to go to the dashboard, choose Settings, then Email & Mobile. Enter your own email address under Email Notifications and you'll get an email with the complete blog post, including pictures. It's not a formatted page, but gives you everything you need to recreate a post, and it's automatic.

Hi, Charlie -

No criticism implied. Your planners are great for a number of people, and the problem is they were almost right for me. As I said, the big takeaway from them for me was the absolute necessity for long-range planning. I'd been hiding my head in "What is it that I have to get done today?" for far too long.

Thank you for that, and thank you for commenting!

Carol

I'm glad you figured out the planners weren't the right fit for you, Carol. I've always intended them to be a tool that gets people closer to what they need rather than something that everybody must live by.

Interesting, though, that you think I'm a marcher. The truth of the matter is that I'm more improv than most people know - the planners paint the scene, and I go from there. Too much rigidity can be stifling; too few parameters lead to tons of dropped balls. We each have to find the balance that's right for us.

Thanks for sharing your process, too. It's great to learn from you.
